February 7, 2025 at 6:44 pmMy dad (68M) is a retired government employee, and my brother (39M) has been extremely abusive. He is the reason our mother (53F deceased 2017) refused to get treatment for cancer and he physically assaulted my father and myself (24F) many times. He refuses to get a job for 15+ years now, eats and spends on my father’s meagre pension money, threatens us all the time with his strength, is extremely misogynistic, greedy and narcissistic. Unfortunately I am in no financial standing to support my father and help him move out. Is there a legal method to remove him from the family registry/ evict him/ get a restraining order? I just can’t face him everyday abusing my father physically, verbally and harassing him for money. Is there any legal protection against this or is this allowed in the eyes of the law? -
