February 6, 2025 at 1:15 amhi everybody, moved to a pg. paid 15k as deposit and another 17k for rent for the rest of the month. now 1 day into living there i realized that the pg was highly unsafe and i couldnβt live there, i shifted temporarily to another place but asked for a refund of my rent. i understand that i caused a loss to their business and they can possible recover that from my security deposit but keeping my rent made absolutely no sense. i kept calling the pg manager for days after moving out and he would always keep assuring me that i would get the money back but never did. eventually i handed over the issue to my father and all it took was 1 call and i got a 10k refund. i still believe that i should get the other 7k refund as well as i stayed for a literal 0 days in the property and technically rent is for staying isnβt it?i am thinking of approaching the consumer court with regards to this. 7k might seem like a small amount but all in all living for a month has costed my approx 57k for this month and i cannot sleep at night just thinking about the kind of loss i have had.
i have a picture of the rules when i signed the paper if anybody here could help me get a good idea of what can done would be great.
