USo, I have an elder uncle who’s family has assaulted us on many ocassains . Especially his wife and son . They have broken in our house,assaulted my father,tried to s*xually harass my mother and have given continuous death threats,filed false cases,and tried to file a false grape case(by my uncle’s wife) . I have video evidence of all of it (except them threatening my mother) . But the problem is they are a bit powerfull like they have relatives who have quite influence in politics etc . Because of this almost every single police complaint fall short and this has been going on for years now they continue to harass my family . Recently it happened again they came down to fight us called goons started banging our doors and windows after we shut them down tried trespassing through backdoor . It’s recorded in camera (we hade cctv installed recently) . Now I want to ask what should we do taking rounds of police is worthless and I am not doing it again court is the only (if they don’t have connections there too hopefully) option left . We have filed complaint in other places already police station, etc but it is to no avail . I unfortunately live in the makhana state where a certain cow herding/milk man section holds a lot of power and they (my aunt and cousin) are from that background with a bit of backing and we are poor (lower middle) .

Lawyer here
get a lawyer and file a complaint direct to magistrate as per section 156(3) of crpc / 175(3) BNSS …if magistrate finds your case meaningful ( which it is) he will take up the cognizance of this matter and fir will be filed
if it didnt worked out
just go on twitter and post video proof while tagging your local police station, cm , and all relevent offices
