February 1, 2025 at 2:20 pmHey everyone,Just wanted to share my experience with **IndusInd Bank** and the whole mess around my **Easydiner Visa Platinum Credit Card**.
# Here’s the story:
I applied for the card after being told by one of their reps that itโs a **lifetime free (LTF)** card, with **no joining or annual fees**. Seemed great, so I went ahead. But when the card arrived, I got an email saying there was a **joining fee of โน1,999 + taxes**.
# What I did about it:
1. **I emailed them** to clarify, asking for confirmation that it was LTF.
2. They came back saying there was a fee, which completely contradicted what I was told over the phone.
3. I **escalated the issue** and mentioned I had a **call recording** as proof.
4. After **no response** for a while, I **followed up** and threatened to escalate it to the **RBI**.
5. Eventually, I decided to **activate the card under protest**, while keeping all the proof in place.# The outcome:
After some back and forth, I finally got an email from them saying that **the card is indeed LTF** with no annual fees, and they were unable to get through to me when they tried contacting me (which I didnโt get).
# Lesson learned:
* **Always get everything in writing**, especially if you’re promised something verbally.
* **Follow up** if you donโt get a response and escalate if needed.
* Mentioning **RBI** usually gets things moving quicker.Hope this helps anyone in the same boat! Let me know if youโve had any similar experiences with banks, Iโd love to hear them.
