I filed a case in consumer court of delhi against a dry cleaning shop for my loss. However, I have to go outside india and the case fell in the crack. I could not go for initial 2 dates and now it’s been 2 months, they are not giving any dates. I will not be able to go for another 2 months. So, will i be able to revive my same application after 2 months or I need to file the case again?

Why are people not fined heavily for missing court dates, especially without notice? I strongly believe that people should be penalized heavily to wasting courts time without strong reason. There are other people waiting in line for their cases to be disposed off.
