Friend in abusive and toxic marriage !!!

My friend has been married for 2.5 years. She initially found out he was sexting with other women as he didn’t show interest in her(She has zip file of the same WhatsApp chats). She lives with inlaws and they were physically and mentally abusive towards her. Whenever she used to fight with him regarding his chats with other women, he used to retaliate physically. She couldn’t muster courage to separate because her parents asked her to wait around.
She started to trust him and they both moved out. Again he started behaving weirdly, so she placed a recorder in the house and found that he is sleeping with other women via recorded calls and wants to get divorced.
She’s also in a stable well paying government job.
1. Is the recorder and WhatsApp evidence enough to claim divorce?
2. She is living in his hometown where he has political influence. So, she is scared to leak it publicly. She feels that they would turn it against her. please suggest.

2. Depends on a lot of factors, like influence, proofs your friend has, status of the person, etc.
