Impact of 498A case on Background verification (bgv) for job change

With so many false cases of DV/498A coming out and with most of these case taking years to close, wanted to understand what is the impact of these on prospects to change job especially for those which are not convicted?

– Does this show up in bgv?
– Do companies not hire such candidates?

Also, what is the impact on such people from travelling abroad, etc does this makes getting visa difficult?
