January 29, 2025 at 1:27 pmI am currently pursuing my bachelor’s in philosophy, however I’d like to get a law degree after this. The problem is this, I was a science student until the last few months of my 12th when I changed my stream to Humanities ’cause I wanted to learn philosophy in uni. I know how the JEE stuff goes but I have no (not an exaggeration, I actually don’t know anything) idea about this lawyer stuff. Can I ever get a law degree from a reputed college after my bachelor’s? or is that too late? If I can, what exams should I start preparing for? What subjects? I have only studied a little bit of humanities for a few months so I could pass the 12th exam and then get admission in a good university, and that’s where it all ended. Heck, I don’t even remember 99.99% of what I studied for this, it’s been a long while + I’ve never liked history, hated it in fact however I am willing to study it and other subjects if that means I can get admission in a good law college.
So then, what do I do? I am willing to put in the hard work, I am only in my first year of philosophy so I have a long time to prepare for whatever exam. Do law colleges also require CUET? Idk I wanna get admission in one of the top colleges. Also will I have to get a master’s in law since I am already getting a bachelor’s? or can I get another bachelor’s after this? I have no idea about this stuff tbh ๐คทโโ๏ธ

January 29, 2025 at 2:07 pmThere are several good institutions with a good 3 year LLB program. Most places have their own separate entrance for 3 year LLB. DU is cheap and convenient, NLS is expensive but the course is fairly rigorous.-

January 29, 2025 at 2:17 pmFirst thing to understand will be if you actually want to do law. Rest comes later. See what a career in law typically entails and it you want it, and then decide to go for it.-
