January 28, 2025 at 1:29 pmDuring my first year, college had announced few (paid) courses in which students can participate to learn skills. Teacher’s use to tell the benefits one can gain by enrolling into them. When students were not participating in it due to financial reasons, college insisted to pay some amount and rest can be paid later, I was one of them.I eventually enrolled for it, during initial days the schedule was total mess. Classes weren’t regular, students were forced to attend classes on sunday I myself attended 2-3 times to cover the syllabus and the instructor himself left after teaching for a month or 2. I was unable to manage, keep up with it due to personal reasons, basically course was not delivered as promised. So I left
In second year, new instructor asked me the reason behind leaving? I stated the above reasons, then he said that “you cannot leave, once you have enrolled there is no option for leaving” at the time of joining they didn’t mention this to me or else I have never signed up for it.
Currently I’m in my last sem, college authorities threatening to withhold my exam hall ticket and certificates, did the same thing to me in 5 sem. Had a meeting with principal and my parents in the office after couple of minutes she left for ‘last minute meeting’ no solution provided.

January 28, 2025 at 1:33 pmClearly they can’t force you to pay for something that you did not wanted to participate in. Although they might not return the initial amount paid by you.-

January 28, 2025 at 3:03 pmIs there any written communication about when you left in first year? If not then you are technically registered to the course irrespective of you attending it or not.-
