April 28, 2025 at 7:20 amMy husband and I are planning to apply for an education visa to study abroad. On my current passport, my marital status is listed as “unmarried.” Since we are both applying for individual student visas (not dependent visas), do I still need to update my passport to reflect my correct marital status before applying? Will this cause any issues during the visa process or while living abroad? -

April 28, 2025 at 9:22 amOnce you get the visa if you change your passport you will still need to carry your old one as visa will be stamped on to your old passport.
As of now it’s not mandatory since you have all the other documents which says you two are married right!-
