January 25, 2025 at 4:02 pmI have a property in kochi, Kerala. The land is split and leased out for 4 different businesses by 4 different parties. Out of the 4 only 2 are paying the rent amount on time and the other 2 don’t bother about it. One hasn’t paid in almost 2 years and the other one is about 6 months due. We have tried asking them nicely many times and nothing is happening they just find some excuses. The main excuse being that they don’t have enough business. The one with the 2year due was having some personal issues, so we let it slide in the begining and now he is taking advantage of that and stopped paying totally. The other one with 6 months due is running a cafe whis is actually being run by someone else and the guy’s name is only on papers. On our part, we made some commitments forseeing the income from the property and now we are paying up from our own pockets while those are enjoying the benefits. How do I approach them to make the payment.

January 27, 2025 at 1:50 pmThe time to approach them is now over. You should now approach a lawyer and evict them.
