Ex threatens to commit suicide!!

Posting this on behalf of my friend!

We broke up because she never came to meet me in person, despite my repeated attempts. She had become emotionally dependent on me, and although I blocked her many times to protect my own well-being, she would always threaten self-harm or suicide each time. It was an incredibly draining cycle.

A few months ago, I met someone new, and we fell in love. When my ex found out about this, she asked me to block her, and I explained to her that I couldn’t be with her anymore. I told her that she had treated me badly, never made the effort to meet, and repeatedly used suicidal threats as a way to manipulate or guilt me. I made it clear that I needed to move on for my own emotional health.

Yesterday was the last time I spoke to her, and since then, she’s been offline. I’m honestly worried—if something has happened to her, I don’t know what to do. I’ve tried to set boundaries for my own sake, but I still care and wonder if I should reach out, or if it’s better to respect the distance we’ve established for both of our mental health.

I’m struggling with whether I should be concerned or if I’ve done all I can. What should I do in this situation?”

Record her conversation, and make sure to keep it ready in order if she takes the wrong step. ( Which is highly unlikely)

Sounds like my ex, run bro run idk how I got out but it was the best thing although those trauma still haunts me.

She’s highly obsessive and tbh my friend is scared what if she seriously commits suicide so tbh we don’t know what to do

Mostly she won’t, she would call some of her friends cry for 1-2days and those friends will tell her what a dick you’re to leave her and her life won’t stop if you leave and blah blah.. and she’d okay eventually

People who want to commit suicide don’t threaten others, the ones who do, don’t want to die.

Don’t try to contact her, it’s a simple tactic to scare you. Also, if she does, you won’t be harmed unless you tortured her such that she has no option to end her life.

If she told she would commit suicide, she would have committed by now. Just block and move on. Keep screenshots just for your safety.

Threatening suicide comes under abuse.
You can file a case.
