January 23, 2025 at 7:51 amHi all, need advice if there is a way to convince the society committee to allow me to have 2 bikes in the society. Our society has very limited parking space for both two and 4 wheelers. We are a family of 4 people (Parents and 2 adults kids). Its not like we have 2 motorbikes for leisure purpose or just for the sake of it.
I have seen people parking their multiple bikes in front of their designated parking spots. Yet the society committee and guard always make it a point to stop me everyday. My response to which is I wish to transfer my sticker from my activq onto my bike. I would shift one vehicle outside but the vicinity is not the best, and others fluke the rules as they wish too.
There are many bikes which are kept unused in the society for the past year.
What are my possible course of action to resolve this Peacefully:
1. Can i get a sticker from someone else staying in the society?
2. Can i pay more maintenance to have both my bikes in the society compound ?
3. Or anything elseThank you for taking out time and answering me.

January 23, 2025 at 8:29 amLodge a request to park both of your vehicles (Politely and in written)
If they agree, Congratulations
If they don’t,First gather evidence on how many bikes are parked there for a long time (better if you can find their owner too)
Second gather Evidence on the bikes that are parked there against the rule (With Model and Plate numbers)
While you’re doing this, don’t try to park both of your vehicles there, follow the rules of the society exactly
Lodge a Complaint to the committee on all the Vehicles (Citing that it’s in the interest of the society)
It will be better if while lodging the complaint you have signatures of Society Members too (Owners because renters signature or people living there don’t matter to these societies) -

January 23, 2025 at 1:17 pmOnly the society committee can answer these questions because these pertain to the common areas. If youβre an owner bring it up in society meetings.
If youβre renting ask your landlord for help.

January 23, 2025 at 3:41 pmThey are not even the actual committee as the society is still awaiting full OC. They are like an Interim committee who are taking care of the day to days

January 23, 2025 at 5:27 pmYou can do 1st point. My in laws have done the same , one uncle donβt reside there so took their parking . Just get authority letter or whatever society needs from them .Another society i know takes rent for having more than one vehicle. I consider this moronic and hate that society to the core .
