        Hi everyone,

I was reading a **Record of Proceedings (ROP) order** from the Supreme Court and noticed something odd. The judge used a specific term that, according to a previous Supreme Court judgment from the 1990s, shouldn’t be used because it’s considered inappropriate.

This isn’t a final order, just an ROP, but I feel it’s important to inform the Court about the error so that it doesn’t happen again. From what I’ve read, I need to write to the **Registrar of the Supreme Court**, but I’m unsure how to proceed.

Here’s what I’d like help with:

        * Should I include the **Case Number** or mention the **Judge** in the address or content of the letter?
        * Is there a specific way to format or structure this kind of letter?
        * Are there any rules or tips I should keep in mind as someone who isn’t a lawyer?

For background, I’m just someone who enjoys reading court judgments and following legal developments—not a lawyer.

If anyone has advice on how to go about this, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

Quite unnecessary, don’t waste your time.

I’m more interested in the ‘term’. Do share it.
