Tehsildar refused to make legal heir certificate stating it’s not in his power to do so…need that for transmission of stocks from my late father demat account… what action can I take now ?

Contact a lawyer dealing in legal heirship.

Dealing with court is an expensive and tiresome process

Nooo.. u can get legal heir certificate which is not expensive and process won’t be long if any member of your family don’t interfere on heritance. Might be around 25 30k mostly depends on how much the property is.

Family members are on the same page… stocks are worth more than 35 lacks

We are facing problem in the demat account only…as I can see the nominee through my father’s account but on the bank system it is showing only relationship coloum as son rest are not showing

U can get certificate easily then and it can help in transferring the stocks in bank

I only assisted my senior in process of getting legal heir certificate in terms of land and ancestral property , but I will look into it and let you know if I can help
