Does rental agreement require notarization? I’m planning to do it on nobroker. Is it fine and costs the same as offline agreement? Which is the best way to get it done?

A rent agreement of 11 months or less you can just get it notarized on a 100 rupee stamp paper (will generally be sold for 1100 or 1200) and it is valid in court.

If the rent agreement is for more than 11 months then it has to be “registered” with the registrar or sub-registrar of your town. This attracts additional fee.
If you have say a 3 year rent agreement and it is just notarized and not registered then it has little to no value in court.

          For example for delhi –
for 11 months or less you spend 1100-1200 for 100 rupee stamp paper
For less than 5 years – 2% of average annual rent
For 5 to 9 (or 10 year sorry don’t quote me on this, will have to check once again) – 5% of average annual rent

For 10 to 20 years – 5% of double the average annual rent.

              Thanks,
Why is 100 rupee stamp paper sold fir 1100? Can I get a e-stamp paper instead?

bro, nobroker is a scam company.. you will suffer a lot.. just check the reviews on twitter & reddit. Once you make the payment, they won’t refund, no matter what, irrespective of on-time service, satisfaction, etc.
