        Hi,

I was working from home for a small startup ( heavily funded with renowned investors) for the last four years.

Yesterday the CTO/manager, asked for a one-on-one meet out of the blue. He said that I needed to leave from Jan end onwards, since I had already mentioned (not in writing, also was not on notice) to him a few months back that I might leave the company. He informed me it is not a termination nor the records will reflect so and later added that I can add/modify anything on the relieving letter. Few hours later ,I was invited in a call by CTO with HR to discuss that. Where I said there is nothing to discuss here, just send me the email that you guys want me to resign. When I said so, the HR replied that if the company sends an email then it will be a termination letter.
I enquired on what grounds they are terminating me on as I had never even been contacted by the CTO/manager for the last one month nor was I issued any warnings , they said that I had not been working for the past 2 weeks. I gave them an earful and said that it was unfair that the CTO/manager never assigned me any work so how would I ?
After a lot of back and forth on the same points they said they will discuss among themselves and get back to me. So the HR called me and said that yesterday was my last day and that they would email the details. They didn’t send the termination letter but instead they sent the email as Title: Last Working Day. It mentions that since I have already informed about leaving so today was supposed to be my last working day.

I need help in navigating this situation and the way forward. I have a bonus coming in and 2 months notice period salary. I am not contacting them or enquiring about it until I get more clarity on whether I can make them pay in court or not.
