I want to set up a trust to manage these funds effectively and ensure the money is used as intended. How do I go about registering a trust in India? Easier to donate to specific non-profits/ schools with instructions on how to use the funds. A trust entails registration and annual paperwork. NAL.

Lawyer here.

1. You need create a trust deed stating its purpose.
2. It should be registered trust deed.
3. One common issue with such trust is management of the trust, do decided on it.
4. Hire a competent lawyer to get this done.
