January 15, 2025 at 4:48 amI studied in an engineering college and posted on Reddit two days ago about the **terrible conditions and the strict rules students face in that college**. The post discussed the worst rules and regulations of the college. It has **already received 400+ upvotes.****Everything I wrote in the post is 100% true,** and I **haven’t harassed or defamed anyone**. At least, that’s what I believe.
If the college management sees this post, can they take legal action against me? Or will there be any other consequences?
Lawyers, I need your advice on this matter. Please share your insights.

You exercised your freedom of speech and expression. There is nothing wrong with raising your voice against the bad doers.
If you still think you are under danger by the college authorities you should be looking for a local lawyer who can help you just in case something bad happens.
In cases when they are threatening or saying take down the post record it and take screenshots of the evidence and post it online or send it to your trusted friend and family just in case your phone is taken away. -

January 15, 2025 at 6:18 amNAL. I saw your post and it doesn’t seem like defamation. It’s kinda like the unsaid rules, like someone asked how is the collage and you answered the question. You have not mentioned any names and therefore it doesn’t point to anything. It’s a public forum and I am sure the collage has seen more posts like these. Chill and talk to a local lawyer if it really bothers youZ -

January 15, 2025 at 6:35 amDelete the post immediately. They can simply cancel your degree or rusticate you.
They don’t even need to send you a legal notice. Just a disciplinary action and you are out.
And yes they can analyze network traffic data to know who it was.
