My phone got snatched by robbers yesterday at South City 1 gurgaon near sector 41 gurudwara, I immediately went to the police station and wrote an application citing that It was snatched instead of it being misplaced/lost. Police gave me a non cognizable report instead of writing an FIR for my phone and also asked me to report it as lost to the cyber police station, I have the photo of the application I wrote and the report that police gave me, I also have the CCTV footage of me running towards the robbers. I also called most of the numbers in the gurgaon police officials from the website, no one picked up. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

This is normal. For FIR, they need to investigate and file a chargesheet in court. The amount of effort spent is not worth the phone. So, they rarely file an FIR.
