UThese are some blackmail tactics that the police have used on me. I want to learn if they are valid.
**Can the Delhi police impound a vehicle if you were breaking a traffic law such as driving without helmet or tripling?**
Here, I am talking about the Delhi police that is there on the road at night with barricades. I’m not talking about the traffic police.
They don’t have the machine to issue a challan. Therefore, in my experience, they try to blackmail by trying to impound the vehicle but can they?
**Can the police ask for hardcopy of documents and keep it with themselves?**
It has happened with me more than once. I refuse to give a bribe and ask them to issue a challan. They ask me for an original document like the RC. As soon as I hand them the document they ask me to go and take back my document from the court. Is this how the law works?
Also, every time the police have stopped me they ask me what I do or what my parents do? Do they adjust their blackmail tactic based on this information?
