        Hello Redditors,

So here’s what happened: I ordered medicines for my dad’s hypertension from this app called HealthPotli. I’ve been using this app for quite some time now because it’s been reliable and easy to use. Or so I thought.

The price when I placed the order was ₹1216. All good, right? The order was confirmed, and I even got a friendly confirmation call. But then, plot twist: I get a message and a call saying the price has been increased to ₹1348. Their reason? “Prices are subject to change even after confirmation.” Apparently, there’s some disclaimer under the price on their app about this.

Now, I get that MRPs can change, but come on—after the order is confirmed? Isn’t the whole point of confirmation to, you know, confirm things? This feels more like a *“maybe”* than a confirmation.

To add to the chaos, we’re talking about essential meds here. These aren’t chips or soda I can just pick up elsewhere. This is for my dad’s hypertension. Imagine being in a position where you rely on a platform for urgent, life-saving medicines and then find out prices can jump around after confirmation.

        # So, here are my questions:

        1. Is this even legal? Just because it’s mentioned doesn’t make it fair, right?
        2. Even if they can legally do this, isn’t it unethical to operate like this, especially in healthcare?

It is certainly unethical practice and violates Consumer Right as under consumer protection act 2019. You may if you want to pursue this can get a notice issued on email through lawyer and they’ll most likely refund your money
