USince I(30M) left my last company in Sept 2024 due to too much politics and mental pressure. one of my friends was also searching for a job during that time from Pune and gave me advice to do the same of giving money to consultancy and getting a job. he and his friend gave me a 200% garranty of not getting scammed and that the consultancy was legit and since I live in Uttar Pradesh so couldn’t go there myself and check it out. which is my fault.
now the consultancy lady gave me a number to send her money that was around 50k upfront and 3.2L after getting the offer letter from the company, since I didn’t have that much money so gave a total of 2.5L in around the first week of Nov 2025 and then after joining since there was no work to do and the company seems fishy. i earlier check the company was having 200+ employees in November. after One month after telling it to consultancy lady, she said she will be getting me another company since January and then asking for 1 week time again 15 days time and till March and now from past 15 days she is not even recieving my calls and not replying me on WhatsApp too.
that friend is just saying to wait for sometime but no deadline for the wait time. now the friend’s friend who gave a garranty of 200% earlier now say if I hadn’t seen her in person or know her then why did I sent her any money.
I’m not alone who was scammed but there were 2-3 more of his friends and when I asked one of them what to do, he said that lady gave her a check and he returned back to Delhi but since there is no money in account and if the cheque bounced then he had to fill an FIR for which he don’t have money to do that too.
Even I know the legal way of retrieving money will take a lot of time and again money too. I’m not sure what to do.
the company(Quantumsoft Technologies) CEO is also in jail because of 70+ people like me reported him. but still since I gave the money to The consultancy they should get me another company or return my money right?
I’m too stressed now, everyone at home is also stressed because of the legal action that might need to be taken.
what should I do?

When I called her from an unknown number then she picks up the call but as soon as she finds out who is calling she gives some random reason and disconnects the call or keeps it on hold.

The friend of mine also told me that the consultancy lady purchased a flat during that time and if she isn’t able to settle everything then she will sell the flat to give us all our money but the current situation she isn’t even picking calls now.
During Feb end when I called her she said she is responsible for all the money that she took and will return back before 15th March, twice and I do have that call recording too. I sent it to her and that friend also but she didn’t even open any messages.

Uthis honestly sounds less like a delayed placement issue now and more like a chain of promises being stretched to keep people waiting especially since multiple people seem affected and the responses keep changing over time the part that usually matters later is the money trail and the recordings where she accepts responsibility because those things tend to become more important than verbal assurances from friends also the fact that she only answers unknown numbers says a lot about the current situation have all your payments gone directly to her account or were some routed through your friend or someone else connected to the consultancy
