U# Posting on behalf of a friend for advice. Since I’m just a third party I’ve summarized the events, and structured it with the help of AI.
They’re part of an online group chat of IRL friends that expanded to friends-of-friends. A guy in the group (handle: @echo\_foxtrot\_sierra) claimed to be a pilot with Emirates. He made it believable by sharing “cockpit” photos/videos, talking about flight schedules, and even said he had a fiancée (also a “pilot”) named Zainab Ladhha. He later added two more “pilot” friends (both women).
Once the girls thought these accounts were women, they added them to a girls-only GC. That’s when things went wrong.
It turned out all these pilot accounts were fake. After being removed, the guy got offended and started leaking private chats from the girls’ GC into another group. He was body-shaming, rating their bodies, sharing private messages, and discussing them with his fake accounts. He also leaked those conversations back, creating chaos between groups and pretending to stay neutral.
Recently, everything came out. Someone from the other side exposed him. He isn’t a pilot at all—he’s an Indian travel agent/Umrah guide running multiple fake accounts. (@danatravelhub)
Because of this, several girls (some of whom wear hijab and are very private) have faced harassment, bullying, privacy violations, and even rape threats from unknown men on Instagram after their messages were leaked.
The girls’ GC mostly had explicit/NSFW conversations (just private, consenting conversations between them), and he leaked those chats without consent. That’s what led to the harassment and threats from others.
What should be the next step here? Should this be reported to cyber crime authorities, and if yes, how to go about it?
# The girls are mostly Pakistani and NRPs, whereas the men harassing are Indian.

I know what he did is wrong … but just releasing some random group chat wont get that kind of reaction…
Are the chats about some other people? Because if you file a complaint and submit those chats as evidence it could back fire as well
