UHey,
My manager has asked me to put papers today. I have received 3 + 3 lacs of Joining bonus in two installment. Both of them having a clawback period of 1.5 years. If I voluntarily resign I may have to give 6 lacs to them that is big amount. I have currently have 1 year only in company.
What options do I have. The are saying my performance is not good but have never mentioned this in any check-ins. they have mentioned this in annual performance review 3 days back and suddenly ask me to put papers. There was no warning or anything or PIP plan. How can I fight them back.
My manager is saying he can buy me some time additional to notice period. How much should I ask.
Is there any impact on my career if I resist to pay bonus and they will terminate me.
Any advice is appreciated.
