Ordered food on 29 April (₹274). ETA was 20–30 mins but order wasn’t delivered even after 1+ hour. Delivery partner wasn’t picking up calls.
Contacted Swiggy support around 4:41 PM and explicitly asked if I could cancel and get a full refund. Agent said yes, so I cancelled. (I have call recording of this.)
Later got a message saying I was charged full cancellation fee (₹274) and no refund was given.
Contacted support again, they told me to email support@swiggy. Did that with proof (screenshots + recording), but they gave a partial reply only talked about cancellation charge, didn’t properly address the refund.
Now I’m filing a complaint on the consumer helpline.
Question is:
Should I just push for refund and close it?
Or go for compensation for delay + inconvenience + misleading info?
If compensation, what amount is reasonable? I was thinking of highballing around ₹6k–₹7.5k but not sure if that makes sense or if I should keep it lower.
Anyone dealt with something similar?
