Legal notice from different state

I just got a call from my nearby police station they are asking me to come to the police station stating they have received an email from West Bengal regarding a cyber crime offense. They are saying it’s a notice later when I started questioning them they said it’s an email and I am required to come to police station to collect it. I told them I am not in town but they insisted on coming in an hour. what should I do? can someone collect it on my behalf what’s happening here? I told them to what’s app it to me they denied please help
