May 4, 2026 at 9:46 amI was charged double in February and again in April. After no resolution, I requested cancellation, asking them to either fix the billing or terminate the connection. They haven’t acknowledged the overcharging and are instead asking me to keep paying until a “cease order” is generated—even for future billing cycles.
I’ve made ~50 calls, escalated via email, and filed a consumer complaint, but keep getting generic responses. I’m no longer using the service and don’t want to keep paying for something inactive.
I’m considering refusing to pay, a lot of people on reddit have had this suggestion, but I’m worried—can unpaid postpaid ISP dues impact my credit score in India?
I have already filed a complaint on nch portal and i am thinking of the pgportal but till the time I get a response they are going to bill me again, it is all so unfair, they first charge me wrongly and I try to reach out and ask them to correct it or atleast explain why these extra charges, they take 3 months and give 100 different reasons and now are not cooperating with cancellation. I am living alone and already have a lot of headache, dealing with them, worried about losing money unfairly, my CIBIL score being impacted is literally keeping from studying for a very important exam.
