May 3, 2026 at 8:15 amHey everyone,Iβm seeing some very suspicious activity on my CIBIL report and wanted to warn others.
**The Issue:**
A few days ago, I received two “Consumer Loan” enquiry alerts within 5 minutes of each other from **L&T Finance (LNTFIN)** and **Incred Finance**. I have not applied for any loans, nor have I interacted with these lenders or used any “check your eligibility” apps recently.
**The Rejection:**
I raised a dispute with CIBIL, but both lenders REJECTED it.
* **Incred** claims they have my “consent” and the entry is in their system.
* **L&T Finance** told me to **physically visit a branch** with KYC docs to prove I didn’t apply. This is for a loan I never even asked for!**The Source:**
Through some technical tracking on my end (using a unique email alias), Iβve confirmed that my data was shared by a **Scapia/Federal Bank** I already use. It looks like my existing data was “sold” as a lead to these lenders without my permission.
**What I’m doing:**
Iβve already escalated to their Nodal Officers and am filing a complaint with the **RBI Ombudsman (CMS portal)**. If youβve seen these two names (LNTFIN/Incred) pop up on your report out of nowhere, don’t ignore it. Itβs a “Hard Enquiry” and it will hit your score.
**Has anyone else dealt with this?** Any tips for the RBI complaint when the bank is flat-out lying about having “consent”?
