Need advice to be prepared so that I am aware about everything

Hello everyone.

I need everyone’s help here to mentally prepare myself and my family for the following.

My sister got married 4 years ago and it’s been a rough marriage for her, her husband isn’t very supportive moreover her mother in law is causing lots of issues, interfering in their personal life etc and my sister wants a divorce and she’s fed up.

The issue is that the guy’s parents know the law very well and have top lawyers at their disposal at anytime (they are currently fighting in some land dispute) and we are scared that they might do something to us and we are sure they won’t leave us without a fight. We don’t know anything about the laws etc and don’t want to roam the rest of our life in courts.

This has already ruined our life and my sister’s life. She doesn’t want any alimony, just return all the things she bought with her during the marriage.

Please help me out with basic knowledge and some good lawyers too. 🙏
