May 2, 2026 at 11:05 amBought a Carrier AC from Flipkart. Delivered on 2nd April. Installation happened only on 10th April after continuous follow-ups. And here’s the fun part — the AC has never worked. Not once. Brand new unit, completely non-functional from day one.Registered a complaint on 16th April. What followed was the most frustrating customer service experience I’ve had with any brand.
Here’s what I went through:
– Called customer care more than 15 times
– Escalated to the escalation team on 17th April
– A person named Rudraksh from the escalation team promised it would be fixed by 18th April “at any cost”
– 18th came and went. Nothing.
– Called every single day after that. Every time I was told “we have contacted the branch manager, someone will come.” No one ever came.
– The service center number allocated to me — 8943709007 — has been switched off for the last 2 weeks. Not busy, not unreachable. Switched off.I own LG and Godrej ACs at home. Never had a single service issue with either. Carrier has been a nightmare from start to finish.
I’ve done the following so far:
– Sent a formal email to carriercare@carriermidea.com with full timeline and evidence
– Filed a Flipkart complaint
– Filed a consumer court complaint seeking full refund + compensation for mental agony, harassment, and deficiency in service
– Have call recordings of the promises made by the escalation team and screenshots of all call logsIt’s been a month. Peak summer. I paid full price for an AC that has never blown a single breath of cold air. And the brand simply does not care.
Posting this so others are aware before buying a Carrier AC, and also to document my consumer court journey. Will update as things progress.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with Carrier? Any tips on the consumer court process would also be appreciated.
TL;DR: Carrier AC from Flipkart, never worked from day one, 1 month of follow-ups, 15+ calls, escalation team broke promises, service center phone switched off for 2 weeks. Filed consumer court. Don’t buy Carrier.
