        Hi everyone,

I’m planning to apply for a Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) for visa purposes, but I have a bit of confusion regarding a pending traffic challan.

I have a challan under Section 184b of the Motor Vehicles Act (red light violation). It’s marked as non-compoundable, so I couldn’t pay it online. When I visited the traffic department, they told me it will be transferred to the judiciary/virtual court, and I’ll have to wait until it appears there to pay or resolve it.

Now, the issue is — I want to apply for PCC in the meantime. During the application, there’s a question about “whether any criminal case is pending in court”.

        I’m not sure:

        * Does this type of traffic challan count as a “criminal case pending in court”?
        * If I select “No” but police verification later shows this challan, will it affect my PCC?
        * Has anyone faced a similar situation? Did you still get a clear PCC?

Would really appreciate any guidance or personal experiences. Thanks!
