UDear All, I need some advice or help regarding an issue related to my passport police verification.
The police had found a birth certificate which was fake (not qr scannable ) after submitting to the sb office at csmt, mumbai. The bc was made by us through an agent in Uttar Pradesh, Bhadohi who scammed us by giving a certificate which was initially scannable and looked legitimate . But later it didn’t . We were called to police station to explain the matter and we did. We also made an original birth certificate through correct channels and proper documentation and submitted the same.
The police , from my perspective, didn’t send the second time or resubmitted the same fake one again and it led to status as legal action against it as per the same police officer incharge. We also made some grievances on portal but they were closed some from passport office and other from police dept saying the matter is under investigation.
We have been following with concerned ps and sb office to and fro but with no proper solution . As per the last visit , they say that they are getting the record verified and if they find any discrepancy they would take legal action against us. We are scared and don’t know what exactly should do in this situation.
Ive seen some post relating to this and know that this is an not an uncommon issue now . Request any one who has been through this situation to please guide us.
