May 2, 2026 at 6:06 am“I’m currently spiraling after a series of tech-related disasters. About 3 years ago, I made a major mistake: a few days after confessing my feelings to a girl, I showed up at her place uninvited late at night. Both she and her family were (rightfully) extremely unhappy with me, and we haven’t spoken at all since then. Today, her post popped up in my ‘Recommended’ feed even though I don’t follow her. I accidentally liked one of her posts, and **in my absolute panic to unlike it as fast as possible, I accidentally hit the repost button instead.**I am mortified. Because of our history and how much I upset her family in the past, I felt like I couldn’t just leave it looking like I was intentionally sharing her content. I’ve already sent her a DM explaining that it was a total accident caused by ‘fat-fingering’ the buttons while trying to fix the like. Now I’m worried that reaching out—even to explain—was the wrong move. Did I do the right thing by explaining, or should I have just stayed silent and hoped she didn’t see the notification?” . to add more context we went to the same school for like a decade . it was a really honest mistake ? , i dont know what will happen or what should i do .
