UI need urgent advice regarding a child abuse situation.
My mother is a government school teacher (classes 6-8) in Uttar Pradesh. There are two sisters (15F and 8F) who are associated with her school. The elder girl has already passed out of school, and the younger one is still enrolled but attends very irregularly.
Their mother passed away in an accident. Their father, who struggled with alcoholism, had sexually assaulted the elder daughter and later also died in an accident.
Currently, both girls are living with relatives/ caregivers who are extremely abusive. The younger one is reportedly being sexually assaulted in that household. Their living situation appears very unsafe.
I want to report this, but I am very concerned about retaliation. If the family finds out, they may target my mother or worsen the situation for the girls.
I feel helpless and don’t know how to intervene safely.
* Is there a way to report this anonymously in India?
* What if the girls are too afraid to speak in front of police?
* Are there organizations or child protection services that can step in discreetly?Any guidance on how to handle this safely?
