Advice on gazette notification.

The problem is my father has a different name on his documents, and differnt name on my documents. And there is a surname mismatch with mine and his.

I was thinking a gazette notification would help streamline any problems in the future with police verification for an exam, or passport etc.

How do i get this done quickly? I have my college admission coming up, I dont want any trouble with that.
