Broker is threatening us for money ….

A year back a broker (middleman) showed me property that was available for sale. At that time, I didn’t proceed with the deal due to the high price, and there was no agreement or confirmation made with that broker. Later, around 1 month back he called us as the previous owner need urgent money, We were able to lower the amount and completed all the formalities. After registration we called the Broker to discuss his commission planned on paying him in installment (even though previously it was set the previous owner will give the full brokerage since they lower the price we set it on 50/50 discussing with broker). But hearing the initial payment he started yelling demanding 2% commission at once didn’t even hear about the payment in installment or property discussion on commission and abused us and left. The same day at night He brought some people at my house threatening me and my family, saying that he will bring more people and create trouble if I don’t pay him. This is causing harassment and fear, as he is trying to intimidate me illegally. We wanted to pay him but he did this What to do now?? Please help me ..this is happening in Kolkata.

Update – The Broker went 360 after election results, he was completely dependent on clubs. Now he is totally agreed on our terms.
