        Hi everyone,

I live in a house that’s the second from the main road on our street. The street is quite narrow, basically enough space for two cars side by side.

We own two two-wheelers, which we park on the street during the daytime. The issue is that the person living opposite our house regularly parks a car right in front of our house (on their side). When that happens, and our two wheelers are parked, there’s not enough space left for other residents further inside the street to pass through.

Because of this, people often ask us to move our bikes so they can get through. I work from home, so having to step out frequently to move vehicles is becoming really disruptive.

        My questions:

Is it legal for someone to park their car like this on a narrow residential street?

Do I have any legal right to ask them to park elsewhere?

Are there any rules or guidelines in India regarding blocking access in narrow streets like this?

Looking for advice or similar experiences. Thanks!
