I booked a confirmed redBus ticket. Scheduled boarding was 10 PM, but I was stranded at the boarding point till after midnight. I got a 1-hour delay SMS around 9 PM, but later app support told me the bus would come around 10:45 PM. It still didn’t come, calls went unanswered for a long time, and I was still waiting at 12:04 AM (I have timestamped proof + call logs + tracking screenshots).
I finally boarded after around 12:15+ AM. My seat was dirty and had a strong urine-like smell. I informed the conductor, he said okay but never came back. Scheduled arrival was 8:30 AM, but trip got delayed significantly beyond that too. Also, app showed my trip as “completed” while I was still physically inside the bus.
I have screenshots of ticket, delay SMS, live tracking, call logs, timestamped location proof, and the false “trip completed” status.
Question:
Under Indian consumer law, is this strong enough for compensation for deficiency in service?
