        Hi everyone,

I’m in a really stressful situation and need some guidance.

I was staying in a pagdi system apartment (old tenancy arrangement), and without my knowledge or consent, the landowner has gone ahead and sold the apartment to someone else. Now, new people have already moved into the same flat.

On top of that, there is still ₹5 lakh pending that was supposed to be paid to me as part of the arrangement/settlement, which I haven’t received yet.

This has left me in a very difficult position — both financially and legally. I’m unsure about:

Whether this sale is even valid without my consent as a tenant under the pagdi system

What legal rights I have in this situation

How I can recover the ₹5 lakh pending amount

What immediate steps I should take (police complaint, legal notice, etc.)

If anyone has experience with pagdi system disputes, tenant rights, or similar cases, I would really appreciate your advice.

        Thanks in advance.
