UI worked as a content writer for this so-called company for 2–3 years, and everything was fine until I got completely screwed over by the owner, Vinay N. Javali of [Conversioz ](https://conversionz.in/)(Bangalore).
He owes me ₹34,000 for content work I completed. Initially, I trusted him and gave him time when payments were delayed. But eventually, he just stopped paying altogether. No clear explanation, no accountability, just empty promises and then complete silence.
After waiting for a long time, I stopped working and started asking for my dues. He kept saying he’d pay “soon,” but that never happened. Eventually, he straight-up ghosted me.
I even went ahead and sent a legal notice through a lawyer. That did shake him a bit, but still, no payment. I considered filing a case, but because the contract mentions Bangalore as the place of litigation and I’m based in Delhi, the legal costs would’ve been higher than the amount he owes me. At that point, it just didn’t make sense financially.
So I decided to let it go and move on.
But today, out of nowhere, I get a PDF from him celebrating the company’s 4th anniversary, thanking me for being a “valuable part of the journey.”
The audacity.
I’ve pretty much accepted that I won’t get my money back at this point. But I’m posting this so others are aware. If you’re working with or considering working with this company, be careful.
Any suggestions on what else I can realistically do here?
