April 27, 2026 at 6:20 amOrdered a chair from Wakefit. Delivered on 12th April. It was defective out of the box.Reported it the same day and shared videos/photos as asked. Since then, it’s been a complete mess.
13th April: told “QA verified, full replacement approved.”
14th April: “no such QA update.”
15th April: replacement request finally created after pushing.
Replacement reached their Hosur hub on 15th April. After that, nothing. It just sat there.
From 16th onwards, I’ve been calling daily. Every time: “priority case”, “will be delivered by X date.”
Dates kept shifting like this: 15/16 → 22 → 24 → 26 → 27/28 → now 29th April.
Got multiple emails saying “you’ll be contacted in 4 hours” by escalation team. Never got a single call.
Support says they can’t help because it’s escalated. Escalation team doesn’t respond. Nodal/grievance didn’t help either. So basically no one owns the issue.
Even pickup was promised within 24 hours on 23rd April. That didn’t happen.
This has actually affected my work because I kept planning around their delivery commitments.
At this point, it’s not about delay, it’s about misinformation and zero accountability.
I’ve already filed a consumer court complaint. Still no resolution.
If you’re planning to buy from Wakefit, just be aware of what happens if something goes wrong.
Also, what should I do exactly now?
