April 25, 2026 at 4:10 amHi everyone, I need some advice on dealing with Savana (clothing app).
The Issue:
I ordered a set of innerwear which is almost 900rs (I’m still a high school student so 900 is a huge amount for me). When the delivery arrived, I wasn’t home, so my parents collected it. Upon seeing the package I noticed the adhesive seal was torn and it was resealed using heat seal(I’ve received products from savana before and they always do adhesive seal, so I thought it was suspicious and just took a photo of it before opening it) and the inner transparent bag was unzipped and half the content was outside the transparent bag.
I was honestly disgusted especially since it was an innerwear, I didn’t even try it on and directly messaged them on their chat box, after a while I connected with a human.
Savana originally refused the return, claiming innerwear is “non-returnable.”
After I pressured them about the tampered packaging and threatened to go to the Consumer Forum, they approved the return. The pickup is scheduled to understand 3-5 days
The Problem:
They emailed me telling me to “Update Bank Details” in the app for my COD refund, but the option literally does not exist in my app UI. I have emailed them my bank account number, IFSC, and UPI ID manually, but I keep getting automated emails that ignore my manual input.
My Questions:
Am I safe handing over the item even if the app hasn’t confirmed my bank details yet?
Has anyone else successfully gotten a COD refund from Savana via manual email?
I have photos of the tampered bag, the tags.
Any advice on how to ensure I actually get my money back would be appreciated!
