U56F applied for Tatkal passport last year with wrong place
of birth. Post one int trip RPV was issued and passport was cancelled. Re-applied for fresh passport via agent this time. However at appointment being asked to produce Birth Certificate. However I was born at a small village in house and school has no records of birth certificate too(admission was done without it)
The school leaving certificate however mentions place of birth correctly but the passport officers are not ready to accept it as Place of Birth document.
The Proof of place of birth documents in advisory mentions Leaving certificate, PAN card, etc as acceptable. The Municipality/Tehsildar isnt ready to issue any panchnama/afidavait regarding birth certificate and even if they do I dont think the officers would accept it.
Agent says you have to fight and he cant help. My husband isnt allowed inside either. How do I go about it? -

USchool leaving certificate is generally accepted. Wonder what the problem is.
BTW, how did they find the place of birth is wrong as police verification is conducted where you currently reside.
For most of the things, affidavit sworn before a magistrate will work. If they don’t accept that, then court order might be only way.
