April 26, 2025 at 6:56 amLast month, I went to my college to meet my professor. He had asked me to visit during March because I had received a drop and would be appearing for my re-exam in a couple of months. He is tutoring me for the subject in which I failed.Since my ID card had been de-registered, the security guard wasn’t allowing me entry. My professor doesn’t usually carry his phone, so when I called him, his wife answered. I explained the situation to her, and she gave me the phone number of another teacher. I called the teacher, explained everything, and he spoke to the security guard, allowing me to enter.
Just a couple of days ago, I received a call from an unknown number. The caller claimed he was speaking from the college office and already knew my name, so I assumed it was a genuine call. He asked about the purpose of my visit that day, and I explained it to him. Then he said, “kuch setting karke ho jayega…. you’ll just have to pay me 20–25k .” Later that evening, he called again, asking similar questions, and said that if I paid 15k within half an hour, he could put my paper under re-evaluation, and I wouldn’t even have to appear for the exam — I would just pass. He also said that he got a call from my professor and the professor has asked him.. to help me.
I didn’t commit to anything; I simply said that I would ask my father and let him know.
I informed my professor about the situation, and together we reported it to the principal. They assured me they would investigate the matter.
I’m quite certain I know who the caller was. However, I haven’t revealed this information to anyone because I don’t want to get into any trouble.
I don’t know who else is involved
Or he was just trying to scam me
Or there’s actually some settings going on in the college.im not sure if this is the right sub cause I’m new here… I just need some opinions

April 26, 2025 at 7:01 amThese things do happen
I’ve seen first hand people not even appearing for a paper or leaving in 5 mins yet getting the minimum passing marks
You could’ve either given the bribe and got passed or ignored it because I have a strong feeling that the professor and Principal is also into this.-
