Can having political connections of opposite party affect the accused in a criminal case?

I’m a husband and OP (my wife’s side) are harrassing me for a 498a case and saying they have connections with MLA and MP.. will that affect my case and my chance of getting bail?

I know there is no direct co relation but I have heard there’s some kind of bonding between DM, SP, and a MLA and they listen to each other to get their works done

not at all.

get an anticipatory bail if you are worried of arrest.

political connection can make police harass you. thats all

Harrasment is a big factor.. they can delay bail using silly reasons.. use foul language

Sometimes they arrest on Friday so can present in court on monday

Not a lawyer

If there is pressure coming on police to take action on you then it will definitely have an impact.

The only thing you can do is to provide evidence that you are the good party and a false case has been filed on you.

You seriously don’t expect the police and judge to buy this theory that the cases were filed due to cuss words against her parents.

What exactly is written in the FIR, that should be the base on which you need to fight your case and not on hearsay.

If this is the case, then get in touch with few lawyer and tell your story and get their legal openion.

You have a 498A up your head, so a cuss word shouldn’t be your major concern.

Yes a fake 498a.. it should be done 90% after regular bail
