₹1 Lakh for DJ License for a Wedding Reception in Chennai?

My brother’s wedding is coming up in Chennai and the hotel where we are conducting the Reception has asked us to pay 1 Lakh rupees just to obtain the license for playing the music. This fee is just for the license and excludes the amount to be paid to the DJ which is separate. This is a 5 star hotel and their explanation was that the amount has to be paid to an agency who makes the license for them.

I just wanted to know if we are being scammed here or if this is actually the tariff to obtain a DJ License? Thank You 🙂
