As per amended UGC Regulations 2022, UG students can pursue PhD without LLM, if they have min. 4 year UG degree + 75% marks.

But still certain institutes have not amended their PhD rules to align with UGC regulations. They are mandatorily asking for master’s

I worked very hard to get JRF. But now I see the PhD vacancies and they ask for LLM, I am unable to enroll.

In such a situation what to do? I am very dejected. 😭

Yes. Some universities are following some have not updates their rules.

See section 3(1) of UGC 2022 regulations.

I don’t personally know about the UGC Regulations but the remedy is to file a Writ Petition.
