April 22, 2025 at 9:27 amI want him to pay for the damages. He has declined to do so. He has agreed to pay for a tiny amount. But when I asked to pay full He said “thathu hoi e karle” meaning, do whatever you can.
I want to recover full amount.
It’s a dual sense controller. Worth more than 5k.
It may be small amount for some but it’s a big amount for me.
How should I proceed? -

April 22, 2025 at 10:04 amIf you can’t afford 5k then you can’t afford a lawyer nor the country legal system. There is zero legal recourse here.

April 22, 2025 at 10:13 amHe can fight the case himself. (Highly unlikely)-

April 22, 2025 at 10:17 amIn theory any citizen can fight their own case but in practise mostly judges will not accept the petition to represent yourself.-

April 22, 2025 at 10:32 amWont they be able to claim the legal expenditure along with capital loss? Of course OP will have to spend more initially but that could be claimed back from the other person?-

April 22, 2025 at 10:36 amOp will have to spend initially and if he wins in a court of law with proof that his friend through negligence or incompetence or ill-will broke his controller – at best op will get the repair costs minus depreciation.Lawyer fee or court fee will likely not be provided to the op in such a case.

April 22, 2025 at 10:21 amDual sense ps5? I’ve dropped my PS4 controller multiple times but it never broke. Sony downgraded with the quality or your friend is a fvkin animal..Going legal after this makes no sense though you can give him threats of doing so and that may be enough to make him pay

April 22, 2025 at 10:31 amUse Chat GPT or any other AI tool to draft and send him a legal notice. That should scare him, will show that you are serious and mean business and might make him pay. -

April 22, 2025 at 2:46 pmone thing is to draft a legal notice citing all these in chatgpt and post it to his address in lawyers name. Ask compensation of 25,000 with lawyer fee and mental trauma. if he gets scared he might give. Put his parents name also if he is under 18 -
