Hi All,

I have been trying to assist my wife in updating address as a HOF, but any valid document I provide they are rejecting. I was checking the video for HOF and many are facing the same issue and lost money.

Can I go to consumer court for the scam that Aadhaar team is doing with citizens of India.

Consumer court cannot be used to complain against government.

If it happened to you you blame the entire system I did the same for my family for four aadhar cards myself attaching all relevant documents and none of it failed .you might need to look at the document you are uploading.

I will blame the entire system in Aadhaar. Last time my address was not updated though I have given valid document.

Did it a month back,ages very one for 28y and other for 49.i simply added my aadhar card as proof for hof for both cases and the address got updated.

Done by me already. My wife has added a Passport once, and I approved the HOF, but they said the document was not clear. Next time I added a Marriage certificate and I approved the HOF. Same message again saying the document is not clear. So basically they are scamming people.

Also there was double payment for the same SRN which Aadhaar has not refunded. I logged a ticket and they closed it saying the update failed.

So the reason given is document not clear. How will uploading a different document which is equally not clear help?

Get a good quality scan of the document and upload. I’ve never faced issues with Aadhaar updates.

That’s a very very good quality scan I have uploaded. I don’t know what extra good they want.
I heard from the Aadhaar updation center that the HOF has been stopped for above 17 via directly. Don’t know how true that is.

Or maybe the documents were not clear? I did it for family and there was no issue at all. In fact I did not upload any document as proof of relationship. All u need is the self declaration for HOF.

And by the way you can’t provide your Aadhaar as proof of relationship.

No need for any documents as proof of relationship under HOF. I did it with the self declaration form. It was done without any hiccups. I wonder how you are facing problems with this.

Tell me more. A person whose address needs to be updated should do a self declaration form, then HOF to approve it?

No. The HOF has to self declare that that’s his wife or kids and he agrees to share address. It’s all there in the Uidai website.
